[Note: Bold enhancement is mine]It's Here I recently did something I have never done before in my fifty plus-year career, I cancelled a concert because of violence and mayhem. The show was in Monterrey, Mexico and after being presented with the evidence of what is currently going on South of the border, I refused to expose myself and my people to the violence, the threat of kidnapping and all the other out of control madness that's going on down there.
Murders of civilians run into the thousands, murders of police officers into the hundreds and the animals have added beheading to their arsenal of terror tactics, and are controlling whole sections of Mexico much as an occupation army would.
Several weeks ago, the U.S. military put the whole country of Mexico off limits for its troops. It's just too dangerous to go there. One of our guests in the dressing room before the show Friday night in Austin, Texas was a young man in the U.S. military, who is working on the U.S./Mexican border doing drug interdiction, and some of the things he had to say were alarming to say the least and why our media isn't pointing out the dire danger spilling over our border is a mystery.
We are beefing up our forces on the border with good reason, but also with desperate need. What's going on down there is nothing short of a full-fledged war between rich drug cartels and the Mexican federal forces, who are outgunned, outspent and face a mercenary gang of cutthroats who literally don't care who or how many innocent bystanders are killed and maimed in their shootouts with each other and the law.
Mexican government officials and law enforcement have always been known for taking a little mordita on the side but with the incredible amounts of money involved in the illicit drug trade, the buyouts now reach higher and deeper. Even some elite forces of the Mexican Army have been hired away by the cartels.
Any thinking person has long known that the debacle at our Southern border would eventually turn into something ugly and nasty and our gelded politicians -of both parties- have refused to even acknowledge the severity of the problem, much less deal with it.
Well now the time has come and we have two choices:
1) Give California, Arizona and Texas back to Mexico
2) Take the gloves off and mount an all out border war with these bloodthirsty thugs. Destroy their drug tunnels, confiscate and destroy their drugs and ultimately destroy them, by whatever means necessary. It is extremely hard for me to imagine that members of Congress are spending their time grabbing Obama pork and pursuing their own miserable little ambitions like trying to impeach an administration that is totally out of office, while a well-armed terrorist army is poised to take over thousands of miles of our borders with Mexico.
Is everybody in Washington deaf, or completely out of touch? Or is it that both parties are so busy trying to make each other look bad that they just don't care? We've got another potential Iraq on our border. The drug cartels already practically own the state of Sinaloa, they slaughter people daily in Juarez just across the Rio Grande river from El Paso, Texas. Phoenix, Arizona is now the kidnap capitol of America as enforcers come across the border to ensure the payment of overdue drug debts by kidnapping wives and children.
And can you imagine what it must be like for the ordinary people of Mexico living in constant danger and fear?
The drug wars have already ruined the tourist trade in parts of Mexico and international businessmen are beginning to put off business trips indefinitely. People, if something isn't done, and I'm not talking about sending letters and signals to the Mexican government, I'm talking about putting guns on the border, guns plentiful enough and big enough to destroy this violent gang before it's too late. We are going to see some of our border towns controlled by murderous drug cartels who are as bad, or worse than Russian mafia types.
For years sane people in this country have been screaming at Congress and the President to do something about the border, that serious trouble was coming.
Well folks, it is no longer coming, It is here. What do you think? Pray for our troops God Bless America Charlie Daniels 3/13/09 __________ This is also another reason to decriminalize U.S. Marijuana Laws Charlie. __ 'S'

Modern Day Tea Parties Have you noticed the little tea parties that have sprung up around the country?
Is this just an impulse action by a few well informed and fed up people or do the roots go much deeper? We all know about the original Boston Tea Party when American citizens dressed up like Indians, went aboard an English ship and threw the cargo of tea into Boston Harbor. They were incensed because King George III had put an exorbitant tax on tea. The tea was available from Dutch sources at a much cheaper price but the King had made it a law that Americans had to purchase the heavily taxed British tea. Since Americans had no voice in the English Parliment or the English Court the battle cry was, "Taxation without representation." So what is the analogy between the Boston Tea Party and the present day public demonstrations? Here's how I look at it. We don't have a monarchy in this nation, but it appears that Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi seem to think they've been crowned as they have little or no regard for what the people of this nation want. They simply get their Democratic majority together, along with defective Republicans, give everybody a piece of the pork pie and proceed to spend money that your great grandchildren will probably be paying off. President Obama has broken promise after promise to the people who put him in office, rushing that massive trillion dollar-spending bill through Congress before any single member of the House and Senate had even read it. How asinine is this, the Congress and Senate of the United States signed off on a bill they haven't even read. They don't even know what's in it. That's down right criminal in my book. Why even have a Congress and Senate? Just let King Harry and Queen Nancy draw up what they want and have a rubber stamp for everybody else. That's basically what has happened. Obama told us, "no more earmarks" and he has gone back on his word. In essence he has abdicated his power to Pelosi and Reid rather than protecting the American people. You guys really should have read the bill because now the sordid details are coming out and it makes you look like a bunch of dunces. For instance, the whole spending package was supposed to be about the creation of jobs. If you had read the bill you would have known that all the infrastructure jobs the bill supposedly creates will have to be paid union scale, which cuts the amount of jobs just about in half. Great job guys!!! And how about the billions of dollars you gave the banks without any stipulation about having to lend the money out? Small and large companies are going out of business every day because of this little oversight. And you people actually expect 'We The People' to trust you to fix everything?
I wouldn't trust you to take my dog to the bathroom. Nancy Pelosi is the best argument for term limits that I know. Her Congressional district is in San Francisco, just about the most liberal constituency in existence and the odds of them dumping her are about as good as me winning the Master's Tournament. Harry Reid's seat may not be as firm, but so far the good people of Nevada have not shown any inclination to send him back to searchlight. So, let's hope the tea parties increase in intensity and number and grow into something awesome. How about a million-person tea march on the Capitol Mall?
What do you think?

God Bless America

Charlie DanielsHypocrites Unlimited
The degree of hypocrisy on Capitol Hill has reached the point of being almost unbelievable, even considering the people involved. The Congress is up in arms about the huge bonuses AIG has given to its executives. Well, nobody wants to see people rewarded for running companies in the ground, especially when the companies involved have just received billions of dollars of taxpayer bailout money. But what moral right has Congress got to point their fingers at anybody when they have done basically the same thing, the one hundred sixty-five million dollars AIG passed out in bonuses is but a drop in the bucket compared to the eight billion dollars in earmarks the Congress and Senate attached to the latest spending bill. So Congress wants the executives to give back the bonuses, how about Congress giving back the earmark money? And where is the outrage over the bonuses paid to the executives at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? Different set of rules, I guess. It makes me sick to see members of Congress preening and posing in their holier than thou act, knowing all the time they have robbed the American people of far more with their selfish pork grabbing. The shame of this whole thing is that the outrage the Congress is showing over the bonuses is nothing more than a political circus, a sham, smoke and mirrors to take the public's attention away from the real problem of the President and government spending the nation into bankruptcy and folks at the rate they're going it ain't gonna take long.
People, this President is totally out of his depths, his inexperience and naivety have shown through since day one. How can you appoint a man to run the IRS who has failed to pay his own personal taxes?
How can you promise to take hardened terrorist murderers out of Gitmo when you don't have a place to put them? Nancy Pelosi told a group of Hispanics the other day that enforcing the immigration laws was un-American, and those that support illegal immigration were patriotic.
The head of Homeland Security is changing the terminology of the War on Terror, in fact it is no longer the War on Terror and I honestly don't know what the term du jour is today.
She is banning the term "enemy combatant" in favor of some kinder gentler words in an effort to appease the people who want to murder us in our beds, and Janet Napolitano, the head of Homeland Security has decided that "man caused disasters" is a better term than "terrorism."
Semantics, stupid, meaningless semantics, is this all the Obama administration has to offer to fight an enemy whose single dedication is to our destruction?
So let's sum this up. America is on the fast track to becoming the world's next socialist debacle, going broke by the minute, with Senators and Congressmen who care about nothing but being re-elected, and we are drifting back to a pre-9/11 mentality faster than ever.
A guy who has failed to pay his income taxes is now running the Treasury and Internal Revenue Service.
Killers are going to be released from Guantanamo Bay and possibly coming to a prison near you. Our immigration laws are being trashed by a woman who, through a certain set of circumstances, could become President of the United States.
The head of Homeland Security thinks the War on Terror is a video game and that if we'll just use kinder, gentler names to describe scumbag terrorist murderers, maybe they'll just play nice and go away.
This is the most classic case of the pot calling the kettle black as Congress blasts executives for taking millions while they take billions in greedy porky earmarks.
If you read this column with any regularity you know the love and faith that I have for -and in- America. But friends, if this train wreck is not slowed down, if we don't get some honest and capable people to represent us we are barreling down a disastrous path.
It's called the path of no return.
What do you think?

America's Strength
In the last couple of decades there has been an attempt to blind the people of this nation with politically correct double talk and substitute semantics which tend to take the true meaning and gravity of a word or phrase and turn it upside down.
Case in point, one of the most stupid and asinine examples is Janet Napolitano, Obama's head of Homeland Security now wants to call terrorism, "man caused disasters."
I fear that our new head of Homeland Security is either mentally handicapped or needs to be remanded to an insane asylum. "Man caused disasters"? That could apply to anything from an inadvertent forest fire to a traffic jam.
If you can't even identify the Islamic fanatics you're fighting, how in the name of Nehemiah are you going to defeat them?
President Obama recently displayed his naivety and inexperience again recently by taping a video message to the people of Iran, in which he offered a diplomatic olive branch which will be viewed as a sign of weakness and surrender by the bloodthirsty mullahs. It was a naive and dangerous thing to do. In fact, the only response from Iran was that they will continue to develop their nuclear program.
I cannot for the life of me figure out what Obama and his cronies think the War on Terror is all about. Now I'm not suggesting that he is Muslim, but from his own words he has a background which suggests he is very familiar with Islam so he should understand better than any President we've had that Muslim countries only respect strength and could care less about his milksop platitudes as long as it gives them time enough to finish their nuclear weapon.
President Obama has been dismantling the domestic terrorism stopgaps put in place by George W. Bush, the same ones which have prevented another 9/11 for seven years.
What happens if we have another attack and all our safeguards have been done away with? This is dangerous stuff, folks. It's like killing a nesting copperhead and leaving the nest intact. Those baby snakes are going to grow up eventually.
I can't understand people like Janet Napolitano who want to play kindergarten semantics with people who cut innocent people's heads off on video tape, who strap explosives to their bodies and turn an innocent bus ride into a fiery inferno, who fly plane loads of American citizens into skyscrapers and who admit that they want to destroy everything that America is and everything it stands for.
People, we can't beat these people if we all adopt the pantywaist limp-wristed attitudes of Ms. Napolitano and Barack Obama. They have no respect for anybody who doesn't have a bigger gun and a meaner attitude than they do.
Obama's feeble attempt to placate them must be causing a riot of laughter in Iran and other parts of the Middle East. Can you imagine how funny the phrase, "man caused disasters" must be to Osama bin Laden and his bunch?
We are letting our guard down and the President of the United States is leading the way. His attitude toward terrorism is weak and dangerous, many of his cabinet appointees are bumbling and incompetent, his approach to fixing the economy is bankrupting the country and that's just the first sixty days, folks. He ain't even messed with the military yet, but he will.
America's strength is draining away, day by day, as a totally inept and cowardly Congress and an inexperienced President flounder around like beached whales.
What do you think?

Washington has totally lost its collective mind and is drowning in a sea of make believe that transcends common sense and even political correctness.
I'm going back to Iraq later on in the year, and I can't wait to see what the young men and women in the military think about fighting the "Overseas Contingency Operation."
They actually thought they were fighting the War on Terror, but their new Commander in Chief and the bunch of politically correct, pantywaist loonies who serve under him are afraid of offending Osama bin Laden or some other scum-sucking, head-decapitating terrorist murderers, so they changed horses in mid stream.
The War on Terror is now the Overseas Contingency Operation, terrorism is now referred to as "man caused disasters" and now the White House has decided that they would no longer call the Islamic fanatics -who want to destroy our way of life- "enemy combatants," but so far the Obama administration hasn't thought of anything less offensive. May I suggest "misguided well-meaning foreign citizens"? That sounds like something the White House can run with.
If it wasn't so dangerous it would be funny. Do these people actually think that by calling something by a kinder gentler name they can make it less dangerous? This is downright stupid. Yes, I said it. It's stupid.
It's like saying, "Mr. bin Laden, we're sorry for calling you all those terrible names. We're really sorry, and if we'll stop using those awful descriptions, will you just leave us alone? Can't we all just put some flowers in our hair and live in peace? Besides it was all that awful George W. Bush's idea."
Well Mr. Obama, I might have missed it but I haven't heard you mention 9/11 once, and just in case you've forgotten these noble enemy comba… sorry, "foreign mischief-making citizens", -or whatever you end up calling them- of yours murdered over 3000 of our citizens in three different locations on American soil and your milksop definitions of these pus ball killers is just not good enough for me.
I have some suggestions for your vocabulary:
Rattlesnake - triangle-headed surface crawler
Black Widow Spider - red dotted black circle
Shark - fish with a toothy smile
Grizzly Bear - big cuddly fuzzball
Dynamite - stringed red stick
Ted Bundy - homo sapien with a slight attitude
Jeffrey Dahmer - peculiarly-appetited loner The media in this country have their heads so far up the collective posteriors of the Obama Administration that all they can do is sit back and say, "Oh isn't he wonderful? Isn't he brilliant? He has compassion and cares about everybody's feelings!"
Folks, please don't let this bunch of new age liberal fanatics pull the wool over your eyes. Regardless of what the White House says, we are still fighting the War on Terror. If you don't believe it, ask some of the young heroes who patrol the roads of Iraq everyday at the risk of having their Humvees blown to kingdom come by a roadside bomb, not put there by a soldier but by a citizen terrorist and that does not compute into enemy combatant, "peace-depriving individual" or any other ridiculous politically correct term they can come up with, no matter how you cut it.
The more Obama tries to placate these people, the weaker they will perceive us to be and you know what's sad? It will be the truth.
I remember watching a TV show a few years ago when there was a war going on between Israel and their Arab neighbors. I remember the rapper, Vanilla Ice, walking to the microphone, raising his fist in the air and saying, "Peace in the Middle East!"
I think that's a wonderful idea, Mr. Ice. How about you go over there and fix it for us. I'm sure you and Sean Penn could make all of the problems in the Middle East just go away.
These idealistic platitudes may make the people who say it feel good about themselves, but it does absolutely nothing to solve the situation.
The only thing to be accomplished by soft-pedaling the rhetoric will be to give our blood enemies a good laugh.
I can't help but wonder how the coverage of the trade towers bombing would be reported today, would it be something like…?
"Today misguided well-meaning foreign citizens from the Overseas Contingency Operation inflicted a Man Caused Disaster at the World Trade Center depriving some three thousand people -who probably shouldn't have been there anyway- of their livingness, and besides, we're sure they had a good excuse for doing it."
Film at eleven.

Iraq 2009Going back to Iraq was a trip I looked forward to ever since we scheduled it several months ago. Not just because it was a unique trip that relatively few civilians get to experience and certainly not because it is some exotic destination. No, the reason I enjoy going to Iraq is because for a few days I am honored to walk among the finest young people America has to offer. They are healthy, bright-eyed, dedicated and capable young men and women who wear the uniform, not because they are conscripted to fill a draft quota but because they have volunteered to keep the nation they love free. They spend a year of their young lives in a dust ridden and barren landscape where the temperatures can rise above the 130 degree mark and sudden sand storms can blot out the sun and fill the eyes and nose with grit. They live in isolation on bases that are not figuratively but literally in the middle of nowhere inside tall fences surrounded by three hundred and sixty degrees of hostility where a patrol outside the wire can mean a sudden and deadly attack or an improvised explosive device blowing up in your face. There are no plush ports of liberty in this barren land and the only distractions are television and the occasional show that manages to make it's way to their base. They miss their loved ones no less than any of us would. They don't have some built in mechanism that switches on when they go away to war that makes them immune to loneliness. They miss their kid's birthdays, their wedding anniversaries, their son's football games and their daughter's first prom. They are confronted by the same idiotic talking heads, the same empty-headed Hollywood rattlebrains and the same self-serving politicians belittling their service for their own selfish ambitions. They patrol the most dangerous square miles of planet earth in a land where you can't tell the good guys from the bad, where every man or woman they meet could well be a walking bomb, intent on nothing less than ending their young lives. They fly airplanes and helicopters. They operate computers and sophisticated machines and weapons and stand at rigid attention when they hear The National Anthem. They come from New York and Huntsville, New Orleans and San Jose, Omaha and Seattle and don't complain about the weather, or the war. They accept and follow their orders and serve their deployments with pride and many of them are on second, third or fourth tour of duty. They deserve better than to have the War On Terror they are fighting reduced to some politically correct term like "man caused disaster" or "overseas contingency operation" by some politically appointed hack who has nothing better to do than sit around an office and dream up insulting B.S. The enemies they are fighting are cold-blooded killers who hide behind women and children and don't deserve the name of enemy combatants. They are the best America has to offer and deserve the best America has to offer them.
I will never forget that for a few days in April I was privileged to walk among heroes.
Pray for our troops

~ Remember How You Felt ~ Does anybody remember what it was like on that morning in September 2001 when the news came down that the trade towers had been attacked by our own airplanes? Does anybody remember what it was like when the next plane hit the Pentagon and one went down in a field in Pennsylvania?
Does anybody recall being on the edge of panic wondering when it was going to stop and how many planes were going to crash into America and how many American citizens were going to die before it was over?
Does anybody remember the ensuing months when we wondered when the next attack was going to come?
Well the next attack didn’t come and there’s a very good reason for that. It doesn’t matter how you feel about the Bush administration, there is one thing you have to admit, not one American citizen died from a terrorist attack on American soil after 9/11.
Has it been because there haven’t been efforts to mount other terrorist attacks on America?
I think we all know the answer to that. Of course there have been. But they were foiled by the measures adopted by the Bush White House. The founding of Homeland Security and enabling the sharing of information among the federal agencies and other new and far reaching measures which have kept this nation safe for seven years.
Everybody just wanted something done, something to insure that American families would be safe from these murderers and nobody cared what it took or how it was done, just as long as it was done.
Nobody cared how the prisoners at Guantanamo Bay were questioned, only that they gave up information that would prevent the catastrophic events of 9/11 from happening again.
I’ve never really thought much of Senator Patrick Lehy but I really didn’t realize what a truly small man he is.
In the middle of an ongoing War On Terror he wants to instigate a witch hunt into the Bush administration’s handling of interrogation methods in Guantanamo and Barack Obama is considering letting it happen.
Hatred can destroy people and the Democrat’s rabid hatred of George W. Bush could very well blow up in their faces. They are playing a dangerous game, exposing our clandestine operation and interrogation methods to the scrutiny of our blood enemies.
And if America is attacked again they will have no leg to stand on since their hatred of Bush outweighs their concern for the safety of America, and that hatred could well destroy them.
President Obama if you go along with this you’re going to expose all the methods that were used to obtain life saving information from scumbags that want to kill every American including you, your wife and your two little girls. The least you can do is tell the American people how many terrorist… (Oh, excuse me) enemy combatants… (Oh, that’s right…. We can’t call them that either) How many “man caused disaster” plots were foiled and how many American lives were saved by the secrets your party is so bent on exposing?
Don’t do this, Mr. President. You’re not going to make yourself look good by trying to make somebody else look bad.
Remember that the Bush Administration kept America safe for seven years. Can you do the same thing? And if we are attacked again and unbearable pressure mounts on you to do something to prevent more attacks can you honestly say that you won’t resort to the same methods or worse?
President Obama, if you’re going to release the enhanced interrogation methods, then how about releasing to the public the results of those interrogations? Make public the information about the terrorist cell that was uncovered in the U.S. and the plot for a second wave of 9/11-type attacks aimed at Los Angeles that was foiled by the enhanced interrogation of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed at Gitmo.
If it comes down to upholding your ideals or preventing five hundred Americans from dying in a nuclear explosion, will you stick to your high morals and let it happen? Remember, it looks different down in the trenches.
Will you show some leadership and put a stop to this useless and dangerous game some in your party are playing, or will you go along with rabble-rousers like Patrick Lehy and continue to tear this country apart?
The choice is yours, but the country is ours and you are going to have to live with your decision, the problem is that We The People are too.
What do you think?

Brothers and Sisters, Are You Ready To Rumble?
There's a battle on America's horizon, a battle for the heart and soul of our beloved nation. Now I know it sounds trite and jingoistic to say there's a battle for the heart and soul of America. It's not a new phrase and has been used many times to describe many different situations that have come to pass in our history.
But the battle I'm describing may well be worthy of the description.
Why? Because at the heart of America, above all other purposes is freedom, freedom to do and speak as we wish, to live where we want to, the right to bear arms, to have our votes counted fairly and to be protected from enemies, foreign and domestic.
And regardless of how liberals try to twist it, the soul of America is based on Judeo-Christian values.
There is a bill currently working it's way through the House of Representatives that purports to be about hate crimes but it is a thinly masked effort by politicians to take away another facet of our freedom and if passed by both houses could well inhibit any minister of the gospel from preaching the word of God as he or she interprets it.
If a preacher preaches against homosexuality that preacher could face time in prison, because under this law it would be considered a hate crime.
Actually this bill has little to do with hate crimes, whatever they are, and a lot to do with the suppression of free speech by Christians.
The far left political wing of this nation hates Christians because the have the audacity to actually practice their beliefs rather than yield to expediency and go along with the crowd.
Muslims are against homosexuality and abortion and probably condemn it openly in their mosques, but don't hold your breath until they're attacked for it.
In actuality the left doesn't care what the Islamic world does, they just want to silence the Christians.
I am not speaking for the Christian world, only myself, but let me tell you how I feel about.
I think that for too long we have misinterpreted Jesus' statement to turn the other cheek. I don't believe he meant to let evil seep into every crevice of America because of it.
I believe that the day of the passive Christian is over if we are to hang on to our faith. I believe that if Christians don't band together and stand up for what we believe in, the current administration and Congress will leech away our right to preach the gospel unimpeded.
And then what will be the difference between the old Soviet Union and the United States of America?
They're coming after your freedom, your money and your guns and they will try to indoctrinate your children into a Godless socialistic society where the state is supreme and the individual doesn't count.
And what they can't get passed through Congress will be made into law by the federal judges Obama will appoint during his presidency.
Well I for one will not go down without a fight.
Are you ready to rumble?
It's coming.
What do you think?
Pray for our troops
God Bless America

The Real Problem We all must admit that America has problems, serious ones. The economy is the one that has everybody's attention right now, but the two wars we're fighting are not going away, the drug cartels in Mexico threaten our border towns, the education system is and has been bogged down in politics and our inner city streets have become jungles where only the predators dare to show their faces after dark and, as you know, the list goes and on.
We put the blame for our problems mostly on politics, trying in vain to elect someone or some party who has the answers to the myriad of ills befalling this nation and we can go on doing that until the Rocky Mountains are worn down to a nub and never get anywhere, until we face the truth.
The problems in this country come from one simple failing, we have turned our backs on Almighty God. We have become a nation of politically correct wimps who get lead around by the nose by a handful of dedicated liberal globalists who are determined to turn this country into a Godless secular socialist state where the elite rule and live like kings and the rest of us do what we're told.
In retrospect, we all see that our current financial mess was caused by greed and by politicians who either didn't know or didn't care about what happened to America as long as they could stay in power.
It is becoming common in this nation to call good evil and evil good and there's a specific warning about that in the Holy Bible and if you don't believe the Holy Bible is the truth, you may as well stop reading this piece because you're fixing to get a big dose of the same.
We refuse to acknowledge evil, we always have an excuse for someone's bad behavior. We blame horrible crimes on environment. Well, environment is never going to change as long as society condones things like unwed births, children having children, children who had no home lives themselves bringing other children into the world to be raised on meager welfare checks, and left to run wild in the streets, never even knowing who their fathers are.
Do you want to put a stop to this America? It's simple. In this day of DNA, indentifying the father of a child is easy.
There should be a federal law that whoever fathers a child supports the needs of that child until they reach the age of majority.
No excuses, no exceptions. If the father is on drugs let him go cold turkey in a jail cell until he kicks the habit and then he goes to work. If he runs, he goes right back to jail and stays there working on a road gang until he decides he wants to get serious about supporting the children he's fathered.
It's called personal responsibility, and it's sorely missing in America today. You want to clean up the neighborhoods? Take the drug dealers down hard. Take the gloves off our police forces and if that includes some bloodshed, so be it. You live by the sword you die by it.
You want to make education better? There's a foolproof way. Just start passing out school vouchers and let the free market control the quality of education as parents choose schools they feel are best suited for their children. The teacher's unions will never improve education, because with them, it's not about education, it's about politics and power.
We abort millions of babies in this nation every year and call it choice. That's the danger of political correctness, when you can change the name of wanton murder to something as innocent as choice.
There are states making same sex marriage legal, the new administration is approving the use of the unborn in stem cell research -even though adult stem cells seem to be what really holds promise- and nobody knows where that is going to lead.
The Al Gore crowd screams "global warming" as if man could control the climate and tides, perpetrating a lie that is nothing more than another step toward globalism.
The media promotes living together out of wedlock and X-rated pornography cable channels flourish.
A smidgen of Atheists push the courts around and force their will on the majority of Americans in the name of fairness.
Where is the fairness?
Let's take a look at the cold hard truth. This nation was not founded by Atheists, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims or Satan worshippers. This nation was found and founded by Christians and our values are based on Judeo-Christian beliefs.
While our law allows for any person to worship any god they want to in this country, the founders and framers of the federal papers only acknowledged one. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Jehovah, The Great I Am; commonly acknowledged by Christians and Jews as the only true God.
America was founded on this belief and the further we get away from it the more dangerous our future becomes.
In my humble opinion it's time for America to take it's medicine, a huge dose of unvarnished, untainted, undiluted gospel truth.
A note to you cherry pickers, save your breath.
Pray for our troops, and for our country.
What do you think?

Fear and Loathing Personified I know you're all familiar with the recent event when Carrie Prejean, Miss California, a leading contestant in the Miss USA Pageant was tossed a loaded question by some guy who must have been miserable looking at all the beautiful women since he doesn't like women anyway. I don't know why they'd put him on a judge's panel.
He asked her what she thought about gay marriage and she answered from a standpoint of personal conviction rather than political correctness. She said that she believed that marriage should only be between a man and a woman.
It's obvious that this guy only asked the question to throw a monkey wrench in the proceedings. I would bet a 747 to a mule collar that this guy voted for Barack Obama and President Obama professes to feel the same way about the issue as Carrie Prejean does so what other reason did this little shrimp have for asking?
I guess you may notice that I don't mention the guy's name. I know what it is but I think the sooner we all forget it the better off we'll be, because I've seen this guy on TV calling Miss Prejean all kinds of nasty names and he just literally makes me sick.
I don't watch enough TV to get the full brunt of the total slime some people are heaping on this young lady but I've seen enough of it to say that if these people are the best denouncers they've got, their movement is in bad trouble.
This guy had the timidity to say that Miss Prejean should have given a politically correct answer rather than following the dictates of her conscience and her heart, turning her back on her raising and her God.
If this is what the Miss USA Pageant is about, it's a total sham. Should we or should we not know the true beliefs of the young ladies or should they all toe the line to please this disgusting little whiner and his ilk?
I dare say that if the young lady had been a Muslim and answered that she was against gay marriage, which most Muslims are, that he wouldn't have opened his foul little mouth.
The truth of the matter is that he is scared to death of people like Carrie Prejean because they represent people who think for themselves, in his playbook, that is a truly dangerous thing unless the happen to think like a liberal.
Radical liberalism simply cannot stand the light of day or fair debate. It's the same old kill the messenger mentality that has permeated this kind of ideology since it's inception. If you can't present a rational argument just destroy the other person, credibility, reputation and anything else they can get the band of sycophants that was once known as the American media to proclaim, the truth notwithstanding.
Remember Bill Clinton?
So Carrie Prejean, my hat is off to you for showing people like the ones who tried to destroy you that there are things in life more important than beauty contests. You may not have won the Miss USA crown but there's a crown I'm sure you're much more interested in winning.
Go get 'em darlin'. What do you think?
Pray for our troops, and for our country

All this reminds me of preaching to the choir. What I would like to know is why in the heck we are not going to "real" war with those bent on killing on our boarder and why being politically correct is more important than beating the living shit out of those terrs hiding in countries who support them.
That September 11 incident killed more American people than the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor by the empire of Japan. Lets let our troops do the jobs they are trained for and throw away the cuffs which are holding them back.
This little blog will get lost in the vast caverns of the INTERNET and will have no effect on results our indifference are perpetuating.

The Ladies and Gentlemen in Blue It seems that every few days there's another sensational car chase on TV, being filmed from a helicopter high above the fray as the car being chased drives on sidewalks, runs through red lights, drives the wrong way on one way streets and seriously endangers the lives of innocent citizens.
They never get away, which shows the mentality of these slugs who add insult to injury by trying to outrun the law. They usually either wreck or jump out of the car and run into a neighborhood into somebody's back yard and finally end up having to surrender.
A policeman approaches this lunatic never knowing if they have a gun or other deadly weapon, whether they're insane or strung out on meth or angel dust. And if the officer exhibits the least bit of aggression, the media immediately forgets what caused the situation to start with and starts vehemently criticizing the police.
The bottom line is that if the perp had not run from the authorities there would have been no confrontation in the first place.
The police have a right to defend themselves and in this day of violent street gangs who think it's cool to kill a police officer, and freaked out meth heads who are apt to do or try anything. When a police officer approaches someone who has been acting like a lunatic, they never know what kind of situation they'll be facing and it's only human to react as they see fit.
You have to remember that our law officers are exposed to the lowest common denominator of human being every day. The real scumbags, the baby rapists, the serial killers, the psychos and nutcases and in many situations a split second decision is the difference between life and death.
I only wish that the courts of this country would become as concerned with the safety of our law officers as they are about the rights of murderers and rapists.
I can't help but wonder, if a whacked out speed freak was holding a .40 caliber Glock to the head of some ACLU big shot, would he be so concerned with the rights of the guy holding the gun to his head or would he want the SWAT guys to shoot first and ask questions later?
You see, when it gets personal and it's your life or the life of a loved one that is being threatened it turns the whole situation around, you don't care what has to happen, you just want and expect the police to get you out of danger, by whatever means is necessary.
Of course I'm not condoning police brutality, but what I'm saying is that our law enforcement officers, local, federal or whatever live in a jungle and should be able to play by the rules of the jungle, you can't catch a lion in a mouse trap.
Every year the violence gains another foothold in America as the ACLU and liberal courts take the side of lawbreakers; and folks, whether you want to admit it or not, it's getting close to your neighborhood, and the only thing that stands between you and them is that thin blue line of courageous men and women who wear the badges.
So the next time you hear some puffed up talking head spouting off about how the police reacted in certain situations, just stop and think about how you would have reacted had the person in question have threatened you or your family.
Our law enforcement agencies do a terrific job and they deserve our support and I for one will give it to them.
What do you think?
Pray for our troops, and for our country
God Bless America

Angel or Devil
Falling Away The Bible speaks of a time in the last days before the coming of the Antichrist when a great apostasy will take place, which in practical terms means a falling away and in this case a falling away from God and Godly living and beliefs.
We only have to look around us to tell that the apostasy is under way and is happening all around us.
President Obama recently made the statement that America was no longer a Christian nation and even more recently he remarked that America was one of the largest Muslim nations, referring to the number of Islamic believers we have in this country.
Instead of traveling around the world trying to placate tinhorn dictatorships and regimes who support terror, he should get to know his own country and if he did he would find that America is indeed still a Christian nation although Christians are coming under increasingly heavy attack as each day passes.
There is talk in the Obama Administration about limiting deductions for charitable giving which is a direct slap in the face of the churches of this nation and the more we turn our backs on our Creator the worse things are going to get.
You need go no farther than your television to see the signs of the decay and degradation that is becoming the norm these days.
One of the top shows on Broadway is based on a story about a young girl who doesn't know who her father is, only that it's one of three men who her mother was intimate with out of wedlock.
The media is trying to make a hero out of a Kansas abortionist who murdered sixty thousand unborn babies. While all but ignoring the wanton murder of a United States soldier on the streets of America by a Muslim fanatic.
Understand that I am not defending the murder of Dr. Tiller. It was totally, unequivocally wrong, but how about an Islamic act of terror in Little Rock, Arkansas? Shouldn't the media be warning the American public about the existence of domestic terrorists instead of glorifying a dead baby killer who murdered what would amount to the population of the town I was born in twice over.
Shouldn't it be a hate crime?
The fact that the mass media has turned into an agenda driven, lap dog, sycophantic bunch of ideologues only helps to defend and mask the great apostasy in their attempt to call good evil and evil good.
Politicians who sell out to private interests and spend millions of dollars of our money for their own personal advancement is another sign of the rot that is pervading American life. It is nothing more than greed.
The near hysteria over abortion which amounts to nothing more than infanticide no matter how you look at it, and the brazenness with which it's being performed is a hardening of the heart a sign of the falling away.
The clamor to legalize same-sex marriage, the rampant crime in our streets, the dissolution of the family unit are all road signs that lead America farther down the road of secularism.
I'm not saying that there is no hope for America.
With God there is always hope, but if we don't heed the signs that are so evident all around us, we are traveling down a one way street that leads to a kind of trouble we've never had in this nation.
The popular, pervasive opinion these days seems to be that we have outgrown the Judeo-Christian principles this nation was founded on.
The truth of the matter is that we never have and we never will outgrow Almighty God, and this nation best be believing it.
The shadow of the Antichrist is looming.
What do you think?
Pray for our troops, and our country
God Bless America

Just When You Thought They Couldn't Sink Any Lower If you read this column, you know that I disagree with President Obama on a lot of things, but when he is right I want to give him credit for it, and in refusing to release the photographs of enhanced interrogations of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, he is right as rain and I think he should be applauded for it.
On the other hand there are those in his party who bring dirty shame to the Democrats by insisting that the photos be released, even though they know it will do harm to our military by fanning the already out of control flames among Islamic fanatics.
Barney Frank, The New York Times and the ACLU also want the photos released, but one has come to expect nothing less from this hate America crowd.
Nancy Pelosi is a joke, a caricature, a small and greedy person motivated by self importance, a pathetic, puffed up charlatan who evidently doesn't care what happens to the military as long as she can gain favor with her far left constituency in San Francisco.
Ms. Pelosi is out of control. She exemplifies all that is wrong with the left wing of the Democrat Party. She is an extremely unpopular lightning rod which attracts adversity, and most surprisingly of all she is defying the President of the United States, the leader of her own party.
I was under the impression she thought he could do no wrong, at least that's the feeling you get from her sickening, fawning praise for him.
Nancy Pelosi is probably the best thing that could happen to the Republican Party, all they have to do to get re-elected is watch her and do the exact opposite of what she does.
She has already made some powerful enemies, and has probably not heard the last of Leon Panetta for accusing the CIA of lying to Congress.
In my personal opinion I don't look to see the Democrats suffer Ms. Pelosi much longer, she is a divider who could torpedo the myriad of legislation Obama plans to saddle the American public with in the near future, and there again she may be the best friend the Republicans have.
And while I'm defending the military, let me issue an invitation to Janet Napolitano who is trying to change the name of the War on Terror to the "Overseas Contingency Operation."
Ms. Napolitano I would like to invite you to take a trip to Iraq with me, and not to the Green Zone where you can hobnob with brass and other politicians but to the little forward operating bases where the brave men and women of the United States military serve.
I want you to put on a uniform and full battle gear, body armor and a heavy backpack and walk about four miles in 130-degree weather.
Then I want you to get in a Humvee and go outside the wire and ride the roads around some of the places where the Islamic terrorists are planting their little roadside surprises.
I want you to spend a day riding with the troops as they take their lives in their hands, never knowing when the road is going to blow up in their faces.
Then I want you to go on a call with the guys who disarm the roadside bombs as they disable an explosive device that could go off at any time.
Then I want you to come back to base and take a lie detector test and be asked if you were terrified.
You see Ms. Napolitano, when you sit behind a desk in Washington and make up impotent, silly names for something as serious as the War on Terror, it's time for you to find out what the heck you're talking about, because you evidently don't know. The invitation stands and I'm easy to get a hold of.
Oh, and by the way… Ms. Pelosi you're invited too.
What do you think?
Pray for our troops, and for our country
God Bless America

(2008)Israel's Conundrum The recent vote in Iran hasn't changed a thing. Despite which candidate emerges from the disputed elections, the same rumpled little man with the scraggly beard and the vile hatred for Israel is still in power. Of course it would have made infinitesimally little difference who was elected, as the president is just a figurehead, a puppet controlled by the real power, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the Mullahs. In fact, all the candidates running had the Mullah stamp of approval before the election even started.
So the man who has let the world know that he is dedicated to the total destruction of Israel still sits in the president's chair, representing the views of the religious hierarchy who are his real bosses, so evidently they feel the same about Israel as Ahmadiinejad does which puts the Jews in a damned if they do, damned if they don't situation.
The result is a lethal conundrum, it all comes down to who bombs who first. Iran has for the most part already stated their intent and purposes, they want to wipe Israel off the face of the earth and Israel has said they will not let this happen which would mean a pre emptive strike against Iran's nuclear development facilities and either way it goes has the potential to plunge the Middle East and therefore the world into chaos.
President Obama is trying to stay above the fray, taking neither side and making an effort to find a diplomatic way out of this tight corner, but the sad truth is that there can be no neutral positions. America is the only friend Israel has and if we are not for her we are against her.
The odd thing is that the world community seems perfectly content to set back and watch Iran develop their weapon of mass destruction which upon completion they will surely deploy against the Israelis, but when it comes to Israel protecting itself by dropping the first bomb there is nothing but condemnation.
If Iran bombs Israel first it will be nuclear with all the ramifications of nuclear fission and unknowable damage, with the potential of doing what Ahmadiinejad wants to do and wipe Israel off the face of the Earth.
Israel is a small country -roughly the size of Massachusetts- and depending on prevailing winds there's no telling where the radiation will go.
If Israel should drop the first bomb on Iran, in my opinion it would be a massive, but conventional explosive device and the damage it caused would be contained in the immediate area.
If this happens the Islamic nations of the Middle East would probably explode and along with their sympathetic oil addicted allies immediately isolate Israel and there would be a battle to the death.
Where America would stand in that day is impossible to tell at this juncture. There was a day when we would have stood by Israel tooth and nail but our new President is wishy-washy on the issue to say the least.
I have it on infallible authority that a major conflict will take place in Israel involving the Arab countries and a lot of other nations we don't usually think of as enemies of the Jews.
Of course most of you readers know that I'm referring to the Holy Bible, and for you who don't could I recommend that you take a modern translation of the Bible and read Ezekiel, Chapters 38 and 39, if you want to know the outcome.
I want to publicly state that I believe that Israel has the right to protect themselves from Iran or any other nation who questions and threatens their right to exist.
And remember this, there will be many attempts by many well intentioned people to bring peace to the Middle East, but their efforts will be fruitless, there will be no peace in the Middle East until that great and awesome day of the Lord.
Shalom.
What do you think?
Pray for our troops, our country and for Israel.
God Bless America
