Do you have a bad case of arachnophobia? Here's one way to deal with 'Spider-Phobia'.
Sure, crabs have no relation to spiders, but tell that to your deepest, irrational fears.
Talking helps calm you down. and Insulting the spider/crabs actually makes them less scary. __ 'S'

Here's another way to 'get over' Spider Phobia. (if you have some extra $$$) __ 'S'
Spider Phobia ReleaseSymptoms of Spider Phobia: Seeing a spider or only thinking about a spider can result in the following symptoms: breathlessness, dizziness, excessive sweating, nausea, dry mouth, feeling sick, shaking, heart palpitations, inability to speak or think clearly, a fear of dying, becoming mad or losing control, a sensation of detachment from reality or a full blown anxiety attack. You are not the only one to suffer from spider phobia. Most sufferers are surprised to learn that they are far from alone in this surprisingly common, although often unspoken, phobia. Spider phobia is an intense fear of something that poses little or no actual danger. While adults with spider phobia realize that these fears are irrational, they often find that facing, or even thinking about facing, the feared situation brings on a panic attack or severe anxiety. There is a Way Out Imagine what your life will be like when you know that you are not "defective". When you can be confident and at ease in situations where you used to feel your spider phobia. And when you can talk about your former spider phobia symptoms as though you are describing a movie where the character is someone else, not you.
Several years ago, a psychologist specializing in phobias like spider phobia, made An Amazing Discovery. Don't suffer spiderssly. Don't wait any longer to eliminate this unnecessary suffering from your life. Does It Work for Everyone? In a word, no it doesn't. It's not perfect. It only works about 85% of the time. But that is a radical shift from about 5% rate for some methods. A reason it may not work is that frankly some people are afraid to give up their spider phobia. Their identity is wrapped up in it. They have had their spider phobia so long that they don't know who they would be without it. Fortunately, the same methods can be used to eliminate this fear first, should it arise. Finally, some people just love to talk about their spider phobia. That's one reason why some people may spend years in talk therapy. They love to have someone who cares about them listen to their spider phobia problems. Energy Psychology isn't about talk. It's about results. Fast, effective, lasting results. A lot of talking about problems keeps people in the "stuck" state and is counterproductive. So people who really want to talk about their spider phobia because they are not really ready to let them go may not achieve optimal results. People like this may be better satisfied with talk therapy, even if it means extensive sessions, much higher expense and a lower success rate. But it is what some people want and seem to need. Don't get me wrong. Effective Energy Therapists listen really well. And with compassion. It's just that their focus is on the "root", not the "branches". You may feel like you have truly been heard for the first time in your life.
So Energy Psychology is not perfect. And it's not for everyone, perhaps only 80% or so of the population. Is it for you? Only you can decide. But it is worth a try. With the guarantees offered, the only thing you have to lose is your spider phobia.

How about Rat-Phobia? I can't think of any other living thing that bothers me as much as Rats. I am not including those animals that can literally eat you, of course .

It was not a good day to be an arachnophobe in Liverpool.
As part of the city's Capital of Culture celebrations, this scary 50ft mechanical spider was suspended from a building near Lime Street station. Even worse, 'La Princess', as the creature is known, is to move around the city at speeds of up to 2mph before it escapes down the Mersey Tunnel on Sunday.
The steel and wood spider has sophisticated hydraulics which allow the dozen engineers strapped to its frame to operate its eyes, legs and abdomen.
The insect is due to come alive on Friday as part of the Capital of Culture celebrations
The 37-ton artwork has been billed as the largest and most spectacular piece of street theatre ever staged in the UK.
Created by French company La Machine, the installation cost £1.8million to bring to Liverpool and all but £250,000 of this was funded by the taxpayer.
Organizers hope the spider will attract huge crowds, but onlookers appeared more bemused than enthralled.
Eric Wilson, 82, from West Derby, said: "What the devil are they going to think of next? It's novel, I think some will like it. There's never a dull moment in Liverpool."
His wife Dorothy, also 82, added: "I wouldn't like to meet it in the dark. They say it's going to walk the streets but I hope I'm not down here when it does."
Police warned motorists not to become distracted by it after one driver pranged his car trying to catch a glimpse of the creature.
Helen Marriage, producer of the show, said: "It has 50 axes of movement so it moves as you would expect an insect to move."
The TaxPayers' Alliance has called the artwork an "outrageous waste of taxpayers' money".
Spokesman Matthew Sinclair said: "Who on Earth would want their hard-earned cash spent on a mechanical spider?"
"It's bonkers."

I said I was scared of Rats more than any other animal, except for animals that would attack and eat you (i.e. Tigers, Lions, Ligers, etc.). I'm tired of trying to be nice to you. You always reply with smartass remarks and never answer anyones questions.

"Some of the most advanced 'aircraft' is no bigger, or heavier, than a dragonfly, and NASA scientists are making big steps in walking rovers and 'swarm theory' probes for planetary exploration," the artist says in a statement.
"Manmade technology is finding that the most manuverable and efficient design features really do come from nature." ________ __ 'S'

'DANGEROUS BROWN RECLUSE SPIDER'
This venom is a collection of enzymes. One of the specific enzymes, once released into the victim’s skin, causes destruction of local cell membranes, which disrupts the integrity of tissues leading to local breakdown of skin, fat, and blood vessels. This process leads to eventual tissue death called necrosis in areas immediately surrounding the bite site. The venom also induces in its victim an immune response. The victim’s immune system releases inflammatory agents—histamines, cytokines, and interleukins—that signal specific disease-fighting white blood cells to the area of injury. In severe cases, however, these same inflammatory agents can themselves cause injury. These secondary effects of the venom, although extremely rare, can produce these more significant side effects of the spider bite:
Destruction of red blood cells
Low platelet count
Blood clots in capillaries and loss of ability to form clots where needed Acute renal failure (kidney damage)
Coma
Death __ 'S'

Rare green fanged spiders found in home A teenager was left terrified after she found a cluster of spiders – with luminous green fangs. Spooked Jessica Buston, 13, found the rarely-seen segestria florentinas living in a hole in the wall of her home in Exeter, Devon.
She discovered eight of the creatures – which have an inch-long body and can deliver a nasty bite. Jessica said: ”They are black all over and have two green fangs, which make them look really scary. We found them living in holes at the back of our house. I was a bit scared.”Dad Mark, 40, said he was happy for the spiders to remain at the house because their bite is non-venomous. He added: ”The fangs are really luminous and when they are sitting in their holes, you can just see these two green fangs.”
Experts say the creepy insects originated in the Mediterranean and northern Africa and made their way across to Britain on cargo ships. Naturalist Kelvin Boot said: ”This is one spider that can bite. It bites in defence so if you pick one up, or if it gets caught in your clothing, you are likely to get nipped.”___________________ __ 'S'

March 28, 2011 Trees cocooned in spiderwebs Millions of spiders have crawled into trees in Pakistan to escape flood waters, shrouding them with their silky webs.
The eye-catching phenomenon is an unexpected side-effect of last year's flooding which claimed the lives of almost 2,000 people.
However, since the monsoon weather devastated the nation last July, much of the water has still not yet receded.
The tiny insects have sought refuge amongst the trees weaving beautifully intricate webs between the leaves.
The branches are now so cocooned in spiders webs it gives the appearance of them being shrouded in a large net.
People in this part of Sindh, in south eastern Pakistan, near Karachi, have never seen this phenomenon before, but locals are reporting that there are now fewer mosquitos than they would expect, given the amount of stagnant, standing water that is around.
It is thought that the mosquitos are getting caught in the spiders web and reducing the risk of malaria, benefitting local people . ________________ 'S'

Last summer’s floods in Pakistan displaced millions of people .. and Millions of Spiders ...
Although spiders rarely migrate to trees during natural disasters, the flooding was so heavy and prolonged, they had to climb trees and remain there.
According to University of Akron biologist Todd Blackledge, who studies web-weaving spiders, some spin new webs each day.
After weeks, the dense layers of silk, seen here in Sindh province, covered the trees, a result of continuous web spinning by the eight-legged refugees. ________________________ 'S'
