Method 1 Many Homemade sodas are fermented and are slightly alcoholic Method B You can mix flavor extracts (think Snow Cone syrup) with Club Soda (carbonated water) and have "Soda" Which did you have in mind?

Actually, both. Have been toying with the idea ever since I started making homemade ice cream. Thanks for the reply.

And you call yourself a Gamecock Fan.. ... LOL... ~~~ The reason I ask is that in Method 1.... brewing beer and making soda require the same equipment... -a pot large enough to boil 3-5 gallons of water -a Primary Fermenter -a Secondary Fermenter -and some empties... Still Interested in Method 1 ?

That would still be Okay, as long as I get it started, I'll be able to finish it. A cola type taste, somewhere between a Pepsi and a Dr Pepper. Or even a Cheerwine or root beer taste. Decision, decision...

I brew beer several times a year.. I know the guys at the Thomas Creek brewery here in Greenville pretty well and they've put in a good deal of brewing supplies for the home brewer.. I really don't think they have any soft drink extracts. BUT I checked with a company out of Charlotte that I use to buy malt from and they have extracts AND a Method III that looks pretty easy. Extracts . . . . . . tinyurl.com/28ud4a9Instructions . . . . tinyurl.com/2c2gsd3Give them a try.
