"May They Rest in Pieces"
Video Captures a U.S. Airstrike Taking Out an Entire Building Full of Islamic State Fighters
President Barack Obama might not have a strategy to combat the brutal Islamic State, but the U.S. military is still fighting the radical jihadists. The video, posted to YouTube Thursday by U.S. Central Command, shows the annihilation of an Islamic State “technical vehicle parked in a detached shed” on Aug. 28, according to the video description. The handful of commenters seem to like what they saw.
“May they rest in pieces,” one commenter wrote.
“It helps me sleep at night knowing people are working around the clock to give ISIS/L a taste of their own medicine,” wrote another.

Terrified of Losing 72 Heavenly Virgins, Islamic State Fighters Reportedly ‘Run Away’ from a Certain Type of Soldier. Radical Islamists who decide to embark on suicidal missions often do so with the expectation they will be rewarded with 72 virgins if they die in battle; however, it turns out there is one major caveat to the scenario, according to a U.S. lawmaker. That is, if they are killed by a woman, the deal is off.Rep. Ed Royce (R-Calif.), chairman of the House International Relations Committee, told the New York Post, “These ISIL [Islamic State] soldiers apparently believed that if they were killed in battle, they went to paradise as long as they were killed by a man.”In this Thursday, July 3, 2014 photo, a woman from an elite unit of female Kurdish Peshmerga fighters trains in Sulaimaniyah, 160 miles (260 kilometers) northeast of Baghdad, Iraq.
Some Kurdish women living in Northern Iraq are training to be peshmerga, as the self-ruled Kurdish region's militia is known, to fight against the imminent threat of Islamic militants and to protect their land.

The issue is of some relevance, especially in Iraq, where female recruits are among the ranks of the Kurdish peshmerga forces, now fighting the Islamic State jihadist group.“These female soldiers were communicating their satisfaction with the fact that they had taken the fight to ISIL and had stopped the advance, turned back the advance — slayed a number of these fighters, who would then run away,” Royce said adding that the female fighters have been fighting “very bravely.”Royce said heard at a meeting with the Kurdish foreign minister that female fighters were “laughing” when they saw Islamic State jihadists flee from them. “I think [the Islamic State] were more afraid of us than of the men,” a female Kurdish fighter named Tekoshin told AFP, the New York Post noted. “They believe they’ll go to hell if they die at a woman’s hands.” Al-Monitor, an online publication that covers the Middle East, ran a profile on the female battalions in August.
While the battalions were set up in 1996, the female peshmerga fighters are being further motivated by hardline rules being imposed on women by the Sunni radical group including enforced wearing of Afghanistan-style head-to-toe covering of women, marrying women off against their will and female genital mutilation, Al-Monitor reported. The female peshmerga fighters are now on the front lines against the Islamic State jihadists.Al-Monitor reported that there are four female battalions, including some recruits who are mothers, while the highest ranking women are colonels.“We are now on the battlefield, but I’m married and I have a daughter, whom I left with my parents to fight against extremists. I’m happy to perform my national duty to defend Kurdistan,” one fighter told Al-Monitor. ~ RESPECT FEW - FEAR NONE ~

:: 'ANONYMOUS' ::
:: DECLARES CYBER-WAR AGAINST 'ISIS' ::
Published on Sep 29, 2014 TRANSCRIPT:
.. Greetings citizens from around the world ..
We here at anonymous are with you today, to further clarify the reasoning behind, Operation Ice ISIS.
Since its inception, we scheduled coordinated cyber attacks against extremist jihadi websites, & governments, such as Turkey, or Saudi Arabia, whom funded or supported ISIS in the veil of secrecy.
Yet, by criticism of risking the lives of many who supported or engaged in this operation, and also losing valuable intelligence information these careless extremist leak via the web, we halted our effects.
In conclusion, we believe that the best solution to combat ISIS and other extremist groups whom cloak themselves with religion, is with knowledge.
We ask those that are Muslims, to speak up against the atrocities ISIS is committing.
That ISIS does not represent the faith of the 1.6 billion Muslims in this world.
The same message goes towards those that are Christians, Jewish, and others - to combat those who falsely use faith as a curtain to kill.
Violence, attacks or arguments, will not make us any better than those who behead, than those who rape, than those who mutilate.
We must stand up, speak firmly with calmness, and explain in detail, that groups such as ISIS do not represent the religion of Islam, Judaism, or Christianity, and others with respect, nor do they represent the specific religious population.
These extremist groups, will suffer. The suffering of being exposed by those who truly see all religions as a peaceful, pure essence.
Anonymous is doing all it can to spread as much knowledge to counter ISIS's propaganda machine, but an idea, no matter how powerful it may be, cannot do such a task by itself, hence we ask you the people, to spread the knowledge you hold in your heart, and release it to those who have not seen past ISIS's lies and deceit.
To reveal the truth, backed up with evidence and proper accusations.
Without further adue, Operation Ice ISIS, has been fully engaged.
We are anonymous. We are legion. We never forgive. We never forget.

ISIS Militants Use Beheadings to Make Up for Losses.
For months, Islamic State (ISIS) militants rampaged across Syria and Iraq, seizing cities, taking hostages and terrorizing all who dared to confront them.
The tide began to turn in mid-August, when U.S. airstrikes pushed them from key Iraqi battlegrounds.
Then, on Aug. 19, the group released a video that showed the beheading of American freelance journalist James Foley.
.. The pattern continued ..
Within days of a military defeat, the group would release images of more beheadings — at least nine over six weeks — of Western journalists, aid workers and Muslim soldiers.
The tactic signals that even as the Islamic State group suffers battlefield losses, it is holding on to its edge in the propaganda war.
U.S. officials say that's the only way the militants can continue to maintain support and attract new recruits.
On Friday, the Islamic State group released a new video showing the beheading of British aid worker Alan Henning after nearly two straight weeks of daily airstrikes against their fighters.

'TURKEY'S BORDER WATCH'
VICE News travelled to the Turkish side of the border as US airstrikes hit Islamic State positions in Kobane.
Turkey has closed its border with Syria as Islamic State militants battle Kurdish forces in the Syrian border town of Kobane. Turkish checkpoints and tanks ensure that no one enters or exits the town, while nearby some of the 180,000 refugees who previously fled into Turkey watch helplessly as the fighting unfolds in front of them. As we watched alongside Kurds from both Syria and Turkey, they talked about Turkey's lack of support for the Kurds fighting in Kobane and provided updates on the battle.

Life Inside Kurdish Refugee Camps: Turkey's Border War
When Islamic State jihadists launched a major offensive on the majority Kurdish town of Kobane in September, more than 180,000 people fled across the border into Turkey.
Local authorities struggled to cope with the influx at first, and thousands of refugees were forced to sleep on the streets of the Turkish border town of Suruc.
Now camps are being set up to provide shelter and other assistance.
With the borders closed and thousands unable to leave Kobane, VICE News visited one of six refugee camps in the town to find out how refugee families — some sharing tents with up to 14 other people — are coping with leaving their homes and livelihoods behind.

What Americans Really Think About ISIS
Do Americans favor airstrikes? Ground troops?
Will we ever get out of Iraq?
We posed all these questions and more to Americans in Venice, CA as part of our Reason-Rupe poll.
"There seems to be a sort of collective amnesia problem regarding the Iraq War."
Says Reason Foundation polling director Emily Ekins.
