Come November, SC will make history when Nikki Haley gets elected as the first female Governor of this state. I am a proud supporter of her and I think she will make a great governor. People can say what they want about her or Mark Sanford; But Mark has been a darn good governor, I for one am proud that I voted for him Twice!

I'm hoping she will be ready to borrow the Sanford veto pen and use it frequently.

It'll be interesting to see if a converted Christian will be any crazier than a natural born one... .

Only RW knuckledraggers who hate brown people and believe all that stupid crap they hear on Fox support such nonsense, and they are all goobers. Or teabaggers. Or both. Probably both.

So I take it that you are for illegal, not legal immigration? Is that correct? There is a difference between legal and illegal immigration. One is that they are here illegally, meaning illegal immigration. And I don't have to see it on Fox News to believe it. I've seen it first hand, my buddy lost his job because of illegal immigrants, and I almost had the plant I work in shut down due to the illegals working at it!

I've seen it first hand, my buddy lost his job because of illegal immigrants, and I almost had the plant I work in shut down due to the illegals working at it! I don't promote it and I won't aid/assist it, but I'm not particularly worried about it, either. Despite what you hear from fringe haters, they are not here to do anything but work and live in peace, which most of them do- again, despite what you may hear to the contrary, from sources that are far from objective. With few exceptions, they don't "take our jobs" because most of their jobs are nastyass jobs that Americans aren't lining up for. Nope, sorry, but that is true. They have been the source of some employment upheavals, notably in the meat packing industry in the Midwest, where whole plants have been shut down. But that is hardly the fault of the illegals. The assholes who ran some of those businesses (I have good intel in this- my wife had some of them as customers in her biz) were hiring children under the age of 14, paying wages beneath minimum, 60 hr weeks with no OT, no benefits . . . well, you get the picture. That management team knew damn well what they were doing, and were even accused of purposefully importing these folks- ordering them up like tshirts from LL Bean- and had them living on the plant premises. Slaves. Indentured servants, if the "S" word offends. Anyway, there are 2 facts that important, here: 1) No matter what we do, by the turn of the 21st century, latinos/hispanics will be the majority in America. Espanol will be the defacto 'official' language. The sheer weight of numbers is agin euro-Americans. 2) Even if all those illegals suddenly quit swimmin the river and sneaking thru the Sonoran desert and into CA, AZ, NM & TX, and came here legally, ultra-conservatives would simply change the rules or take other actions to keep brown people out of America. A question: why are we bombarded with the constant Sturm und Drang about illegal entry of hispanics on our southern borders, but there is no similar wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth regarding illegal immigration of Asians across the northern borders?

Regardless, corporate America is in no hurry to support immigration reform or a lot of companies will lose a lot of cheap labor.
And if corporate America don't like it, the politicians won't either.

Here is an example of what happens when the law is enforced. It seems a lot of our legal citizens in Georgia are gladly taking the jobs that were "stolen" by illegals. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jugF3J17Mn0

As stated above, the illegals are not to blame for this- the cheapass management at CE did nothing until forced to by an "investigation." It's the same story all over.

here's something on the subject by the loser lil dumpie voted for I still can’t find the video – would love to pass it around if anyone has it – but here is MCNBC quoting from the Associated Press He offered anybody in the crowd $50 an hour to pick lettuce in Arizona. Shouts of protest rose from the crowd, with some accepting McCain’s job offer. “I’ll take it!” one man shouted. McCain insisted none of them would do such menial labor for a complete season. “You can’t do it, my friends.” www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12155322/and again McCain has been getting skewered in the media for comments earlier this month to a union group in Washington, D.C., that immigrants are taking jobs no one else wants, and offered them $50 an hour to pick lettuce in the Arizona sun for a summer, suggesting they couldn’t do it. The senator didn’t stick around long enough to process any applications, despite several offers to take him up on his offer from the audience. So Friday more than three dozen Minutmen showed up at his office, many carrying lettuce picker applications in one hand, and a head of lettuce in the other to show they could do the job. www.immigrationwatchdog.com/?p=935and here it is again on the mitt doode’s site blog.electromneyin2008.com/2008/01/23/mccains-lettuce-claims/I think later on the out of touch delusional old geeser said something about how if they didn’t like it – they could all just eat cake or maybe it was a waffle

The situation, as I see it is that on one side we have the people who want to see the laws enforced. On the other side we have a coalition consisting of big business taking advantage of the cheap labor and the liberal democrats who are only looking for hispanic votes. They care nothing about the people. There is a lot of room for hard working immigrants in this country. There is also a legal way to join our country and become part of our culture. We do not need to turn our country into another Mexico.

If this type of investigation forces big business to stop taking advantage of the cheap labor, the illegal immigration problem will be solved. If there are no jobs, they will go back. And hopefully some of these hard working people will choose the legal path to citizenship and would blend into our culture.
