Bi-Lo Center representative is a liar

I recently sent a letter to the Bi-Lo center complaining about their lack of concerts. Well first I was told it was demographics which I can pretty much prove is a lie. Then I was told many bands play outside this time of year. O.K I can go along with that. Turns out this same guy is in charge of getting concerts at Heritage Ampitheatre. Well there is only one concert scheduled there all summer. One. Then I was told and here is the kicker that the Bi-Lo center has averaged 24-26 major concerts every year since it opened. That is a big fat lie. I asked for the proof of this and now the guy decides to stop responding. OH how many concerts does the Bi-Li center have scheduled as of now for 2010? One. Some Bieber guy.
Face it folks the Bi-Lo center is a failure. Greenville wants it to fail I guess. The biggest concert it ever had was shut down by the prissies of Greenville. The new Hockey team will fail again. Greenville is not nor will it ever be a hockey town.
I can give you a list of at least 40 major bands that are touring this summer. Only one of them is even coming to our state. (Black Crowes, Charleston, Myrtle Beech). Not even Jackyl who is from here is coming here. Sorry but that is pathetic.

Greenville claims to be some great town. I will say Downtown looks nice, but that is it. After you shop at the expensive stores, see the bridge, eat an expensive meal. What else is there to do?
I will say the ball park is nice and I have enjoyed the games. However the team is not here every day. Then Greenville is nothing but boring.
The business owners say that they make more money when there is a concert in town. I know three business owners down town and one is closing (Mia Doria), One is hurting (Lemon Grass) and one is contimplating closing. It's not so rosy on main street.
Maybe if there was actually something to do. A game room, minature golf (a nice coarse with water falls and pretty lights to stimulate you lefties). How about a sling shot bungy? Some action.
Sorry folks Greenvile is not the vacation mecca. It's a boring ass town.

Went to the GSO concert and fireworks show at the Heritage Park Amphitheater- 'scuse me, the Charter Communications Amphitheater- last Saturday night. My son-in-law (SPD) was working and we went with our daughter and 3 mon old granddaughter. It was a nice show. Thought the baby would have a fit when the fireworks started, but she lay back with her mouth open and took it all in with a look of pure wonder, as though she had never seen one, which, of course, she hadn't.
Not a huge event, but there were several thousand folks there, and the weather was absofrikkinglutely perfect. Hope they have more. I won't go the BiLo Center if there's any way I can help it.

I like Greenville. I think it has a lot going for it. I'm old enough that I prefer the kind of acts that come to the Handlebar so I'm not too concerned that Taylor Swift isn't playing the Bi-Lo Center. But that's just me.

Last Concert I attended at Bilo Center was AeroSmith some years ago. Kiss once also. Hate to say it but when it was the old run down center it seem to have better musicians.
